Aftermarket/homegrown alternatives for Sporto floorboard?
I need to replace the passenger side floorboard on my '70T Sporto coupe (LHD). I'll probably use a Rennline aluminum floorboard, maybe the drilled version. I'd also like to replace the driver's side floorboard at the same time as well, even though it's in better shape than the one on the passenger side.
Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be an ABS or aluminum aftermarket version available for Sportos. Original wooden ones are hard to come by and, when available, are often in worse shape than what I already have. Our host shows that Rennline offers a "Rubber Grip Aluminum Pedal Set w/ Dead Pedal" but it's unclear whether that is designed to work with the factory wooden floorboard or one of Rennline's existing floorboards. Maybe time for some fabrication? Group buy for the small band of Sporto owners? Ed

Should be pretty easy to make one out of fiberglass using yours as a template.
