Cool

The 912 is a balanced, fun and classic looking example of an early Porsche that has a fuel efficient 4 cylinder engine that, with modification, will get up and go.

Didn't the first 912s use the engine from the 356?

'65-'69 912's are 911's with 2 fewer cylinders(the 90 HP flat four from the 356C instead of the 911's flat six), no oil tank or external cooler, a 3-guage dash instead of 5 (except for some special order cars) smaller torsion bars, no rear sway bar (sometimes no front bar, either), and solid rotors (except for the '76 912E-it used the 914/VW Type IV flat four engine, but otherwise was basically a '76 911).
