91 911 c2 Power window issue

Driver side not working. Switches when switched to different windows show problem not in switch. Like to know best way to remove door panel so I can check connections, wiring, and possibly replace motor.

My 85 Carrera's driver side window lifted out of the rail that supports it. Then it fell into the door.
I carefully took each item off of the door until the only thing left was the interior door skin. That is held on with plastic clips that pop off easily.

The window switch wires will need to be unplugged before detaching your switches.
( Disconnect your battery first )
I moved slowly and this whole process took me about 45 minutes.

Now that everything is visible you can begin a process of electrical part elimination. Until you track down what is failing.
