993 calipers striped

In the middle of a restoration and I am installing a set of 993 calipers on a 930. It looks as like the female socket for the brake line is striped. Any pressure causes brake fluid to leak out. Anyone come across this? I thinking of using a bottom tap but I can't find the diameter or pitch? Need help hate to buy another caliper.

Hi JayH, Sorry am not writing to answer you question but to ask you a few regarding installing 993 calipers on 930. Could 16 inch Fuchs be used still? Rotors need changing? Any modifications needed or bolt on? Many thanks. Billy.

993

The 993 fit on the 930 with no modification. The rotors are stock. Also the 16" fuchs will fit.

All brake lines, and the larger bleed valves are 10 x 1.0
If it is stripped though, you are in trouble; there is probably no material left to engage. A tap would probably make things worse. A 'Time sert' may be a solution. Or welding and tapping.
