OEM wheel stuf length for 1988 911 targa?
Hi, I searched the posts but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I have a 1988 911- Targa race car. At the last PCA race, they told me I needed longer wheel studs, as the nut isn't completely on there(about 1-2 threads not engaged). What's the standard length for F and R? And any hints on which lengths and where to buy? thanks. Hunter

Both the front and rear studs are 45mm on your '88 Carrera. They're Porsche part number 904.341.671.00
Porsche makes slightly longer studs that should suit your needs. But the question I have is, what wheels and/or lug nuts are you using? The typical Porsche Fuchs wheels in 16x6, 16x7, 16x8, 16x9 sizes allow for just the right amount of thread engagement with steel, open lug nuts. If you do want to use longer studs, by all means do it. 50mm stud is part no. 928.341.671.01 52mm stud is part no. 901.331.671.00 65mm stud is part no. 911.331.671.00 72mm stud is part no. 901.331.671.01 Buy them right here at Pelican. All you have to do is type in the part number in the catalog search field and the part and price will appear.
