Rear blower fan question

When should the blower fan in the engine compartment turn on? With my car it turns on with the ignition. It this normal?

Doesn't sound normal unless you have the heating system turned on. Do you have manual or autoheat?

Yeap, sometimes when you pull the brake, the lever may get dislodged and activate the heater blower.

Also our cars have a thermal switch that is supposed to turn on at certain temps automatically to help cool the engine.
