74 engine lid

I have a 74 that I'd like to take the duck tail off and replace with an original looking lid and grill. Did the 74's lid use the same plastic grill as the sc's? What badging did it come with?

Thanks-
Craig Backer

74 grills were aluminum (5 bar), not plastic, and had the 2.7 badge, like this

I want to keep the decklid I have and also purchase one with a ducktail, so I can have it painted to match the car. My ddecklid as a "2.7" marking on the grill and that's it. no other markings or identifiers...

Have a 74 lid in Santa Barbara if interested; it lacks the grille.

What model 911 do you have? 911 911S Carrera? My 911 came with a plastic grill, some will have the black aluminum grill with 2.7 badge. It will also have either a 911 or 911S badge, not sure what the Carrera will have. I assume your duck is after market?

74 lid is a plain 74, not after market.

Didn't realize that SC grills were plastic, I assumed they were aluminum like mine.
Seems like cost cutting was already in force...
