How old are we on this site?

So I read a post yesterday by a young fellow and his first Porsche. Made me start to think.

What is the average age of Porsche owners on this site and how many Porsches have you owned?

I am 35 and I have owned 5 Porsches. From a 944,928 several 911s

I'm 45. I've my my 78 SC for about 11 years.
I briefly owned a 964 but had to sell it when I got divorced. I don't miss it.

I'm not sure what the future holds but I intend to keep my old girl for as long as I can.
The only problem I can see is the rising fuel costs. I'm thinking aftermarket EFI down the track.

I'm 53 and bought my 89 Targa for my 50 year birthday. The wife called it my mid-life crisis. I should of done it a whole lot sooner.

I'm 66 and have owned 911s for the last 25 or so years. Wish I had discovered them / been able to afford them earlier - would not have wasted so much time on lesser machines...

I hope you guys know how lucky you are...

By the time you were born I've been dreaming of a Porsche 911 for 12 years (I saw my first 911 back in 1963, yes the first year they came out)...

Fast forward to 2009, 46 after I saw the first 911, I got one.

Lots of catching up to do

I just turned 24. Bought my 911 at 17 after a long search. Made me broker than broke but it was a time when I could afford to do that.

Bought my first one two and a half years ago at 41, 86 911 Cab. While I was in the process of buying my second one last year, 84 911 Coupe, sold the first one to a guy who "had to have it". Just recently bought a 944 S2 for Drivers Ed.........so at 43 I now have two........or is that one and a half?

It seems everyone has the same story.

Got a 911 at 47 two years ago. I wish I've done it long ago.

After 2 years 17K miles I want another. Even if I sell it now I will be back.

I bought my first one at 17, a 72T that my father and I restored in his garage. I am now 41 and have owned approximately 15 911's and have enjoyed the hell out of all of them, some good some bad.

Born in 72, wanted one since 78, had the chance to get one when I was 27 (my lucky number) and declined only to get one for my 30th birthday. Had it for five years, got tired of it, and and nearly two years after selling it, getting the itch to get one again.
Been through tons of hobbies, likes, dislikes, toys, etc. and the only thing I constantly go back to wanting is a 911. Question is: which one?! old habits die hard!

I've had my SC for 10 years today.(Happy Anniversary!) I was 33 when I purchased it.

If I had been able to buy one in my 20's I would have probably crashed it or at least have my license revoked.

68 years young and driving Porsche's for over 40 years. I've had some of the best from Speedsters through 73 RS lightweight to the present "Old Sled" that I will either die with or in. I'm an old school air cooled guy and have no use for the pointers but Damn I've loved every one of them drivers.

38 and bought my first porsche last fall. i have had many, many cars (vette, mustang, firebird, transam, jaguar, bmw, benz, a handful of various american convertibles, 1 or 2 suvs and i am on my 3rd dodge neon as a work car) and loved just about all of them. my 911 is probably ranked 1 or 2 on my favorites list (the jag makes it hard to choose which).

when i was 17 my uncle who lived in germany bought one and sent it to the states to sell for a profit. it sat in my dads garage for a few weeks and i was out there every night sitting in the driver's seat imagining all sorts of scenarios. i memorized the entire interior and knew where every knob was. it was a 78SC and it was the deciding factor as to which model to buy (83SC now). i only got to drive it once, and that was only for 1/2 a mile from our house to the truck when it sold, but i still remember the feeling of being thrown into the seat as i plowed through 3 gears (ran out of road before i was done with 3rd).

i usually don't keep a car for more than 3 years (other than work cars) but i can see this one sticking around for a long time.
