Any idea what exhaust setup that is? I can see it has 993 heat exchangers...

I followed the thread on a german porsche board. The car is really build to a hight standard. The exhaust was build by Dieter Weiss :: DW Technik downside webpage it's only av. in german language.

If you want a good muffler for your car, Dieter is the guy to go to. unfortunately it's not around the corner for most of us.

Nice looking car. The car doesn't seem to have coilovers in the rear and it has the old style torsion bar hole in the quarter panel (vs the G50 large opening). Is it possible to use G50 spring plates with the longer ends on a car with old style torsion hole? I ask because I'm in the same boat. I have a car with G50 spring plates and large qtr opening but would like the body more period correct with the round qtr openings. Here's a picture of my 73RS inspired car but with '87 G50 qtr openings. I bought it this way and don't really like the inconsistency.

He makes a sweet capped rally style muffler and high flow cats.

No, you will not be able to remove the springplates or torsion bars with the small holes.

Tom Sch, where did you find the chrome bits and pieces like the headlight surrounds and window channel locks for your ride? I'm having my car repainted this winter and I'm interested in replacing the black with chrome or polished metal as much as possible.

I'm sure the pieces were still the original materials. The windows surrounds/trim are aluminum were probably polished with a clear or possibly anodized with a clear. You can chrome aluminum, but I think it would be difficult to install the trim without having it crack. The head lite bezels are probably brass and they chrome nicely...

If Tom did another way, then it must have been "very" expensive...
