New to Pelican and quick question

Thought I'd make an intro as I've been reading this forum for about a year now attempting to gain as much info as possible before I make the leap into a 911. After auto crossing and becoming bored with japanese imports (Acura Integra GSR, Mitsubishi Eclipse Gsx), and becoming interested in German cars through a friend that roadraces a BMW M3 e36, I am very interested in restoring/owning my childhood dream car. A late 70's to early 80's 911. Within the next year I plan to get the ball rolling with a decent blank canvas and go from there. Anyways hello to everyone and wish me luck. Cheers

oh and just a quick question. I was looking through the 911 classifieds and saw a 1979 euro spec sc (pg 8) and was wondering what the significance of the "orange zone" between 50 and 60kph is? Just trying to learn a little more each day. Thanks

European cities usually have speed limits in the 50 kph area (30 mph). I also understand they are pretty well enforced, as well. It would make peripheral vision speed checks much easier, I think.

Best of luck and enjoy the search. Am sure you've read about the importance of the PPI.
I looked for about a year too, and found her about a year and a half ago. What an addiction - I just love to tinker (winter) and drive as much as possible. Learning more comes easy too.

Integra GSR was one of my first cars - I loved that thing. Good luck, and +1 on getting the PPI.
