New to forum. +pics.
Hi, all. I have been lurking around the forum since I first picked up my 77 911 with RS? flares in May and thought now is as good a time as any to post. plans include a complete teardown and build up to iroc style. but I warn you it doesn't look like much now.

It doesn't look like much? Well, it's still a 911. Welcome & enjoy your project.

Looking like a 911 and being in a drivable state is better than a lot of the 911s I've seen for sale.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your new baby! Special praise for posting pictures immediately!
From what I can see, your car is, in fact, especially exceptional for a project start. It looks solid, complete, and with no major faults. Enjoy the work and the ride!

I always love looking the pic with the 911, 325is, and the bbq, all great toys. Thanks for the positive replys, I hope to post my progress here but it will not be fast (for every dollar that goes into the car the wife gets a dollar).

Looks fine the way it is. Turn it into a "sleeper" street-fighter.

Welcome, the car looks much better than most project 911's. Enjoy the quality time with man and machine. Keep us posted. It's not how fast it gets done...it's the end result.

Cool car, looks solid, engine bay looks pretty clean, you got power brakes, fuel injection, carrera tensioners, sunroof, and if you end up going the direction you're headed in, it looks like you'll have a bunch of parts you can sell to offset the cost of the project. Looks like fun!

Anybody here have advice on how to remove paint without damaging galvinzing? I would think that sanding would be a bad idea.

Welcome to the madness and love of the 911.
There was a post just a few days ago about using a steam power washer to remove paint. Do a search for paint removal or better yet steam. There are many way to remove paint. Read what the others have tried. That is the real power of this site. Search is your friend.
