More brake dramas
Hi all,
A while ago i had brake grabbing problems (increased with harder braking) I narrowed it down to the MC and flexible lines, of which i replaced both. This fixed the problem 95%. We have had a run of hot weather here (35 degrees C) and with long driving through traffic, the brakes started grabbing, increasing to be pretty firm hold. Now i am sure you are all thinking calipers, which i am too, but i am wondering if it makes sense if it is made worse with hot weather? TIA, Chris in Australia |

Sounds like sticky calipers or swollen lines but you replaced those so I would agree with your sticky caliper diagnosis.

Sounds weird, but try pulling out the brake pedal next time you feel it dragging. I had my brake pedal sticking and it had me rebuilding calipers, etc.

When you say grabbing do you mean a constant high increase in pressure or a pulsation? A worn rotor (either out of parallel or high run out) will cause a pulsing grab sensation.
