Anyone have a junk 15" racing slick they don't want for a decorating table project?

Hi.

I replaced my bent 15x8 repro Fuchs today, and after examining it on the balancer, it is tweaked. I doubt repair would be worth it, or safe. So, I have decided rather than chucking it, I would like to make a project of it.

I thought I would polish the dish really well, repaint the spokes black and add a center cap, and mount a used racing slick on it. Then make a short base to fit the lugs to elevate it slightly and bolt it on with lugnuts, and place a thick round piece of tempered glass on top to make a neat table for my future "man cave".

I'm looking for a full on racing slick, spray painted logo, etc., that will fit a 15x8 rim.

Since the tire would be junk anyway, why kill any more spotted owls by disposing of one tire?

I'd of course pay shipping and something for the trouble.

No rush, I'm thinking next month after I get back from a couple short trips.

Jeff

Go to shop that supports the racers and tell them you want a junk tires. They, most likely, will point you at the stack of tires in the back and ask you how many you want.
