This is how I want to commute to work every day

I guess all of us Walter Mitty wana be racers would love to ride with him. I wish I could drive like that, and my car was that fast.

and wheels spinning. incredible. thanks for posting so i could see it.
the speed of the right foot and down shifting blows my mind. my gear box is way too sloppy. i would be leaving parts on the ground if i tried that. my 914-6 was easier for my to do that in and easier for me drive. perhaps due to the poor breaks giving me more time to down shift.

Why is Mathai's lap time so slow? He seems to be really kuchen, yet it takes him over 10 minutes. Is it the north course plus the south?

It seems the 915 is using short gearing.

"i have no idea what you mean with north and south course?

That's what I meant, and the confusion is probably just that that's not what they're actually called. I wrongly--apparently--assumed that if the Nordscheife was "north," then the GP circuit was "south," but that does explain the 10-minute laps.

If it were just damp, he'd be FLYING. Those white patches on the edge of the road are small piles of snow.

Oh, I've been around it a number of times, just didn't know the nomenclature.

Also Hockenheim.
