PPI, PPI, PPI and then have the car put through a very comprehensive PPI. It is worth the money!

I drove that car. It has issues. And zero records to boot. I would stay away.

All cars have issues. Were these issues deal breakers or what?

Clutch was very heavy, more so than a well maintained 915. It balked at 3rd gear without double clutching. It smoked a fair bit and the owner said it burned about 1 qt./600 mi. I can't comment on the aftermarket body work. The brakes were very hard with not much pedal travel.

I'm not a Porsche expert but I've driven about a dozen while looking for one. I've owned quite a few cars. My gut tells me this one is trouble. Just my $0.02.

This would make it a deal breaker for me.

thumbs down. just can't be any more clear on this. the car will not wear well and as it sits is only desirable non-porsche people so your market when you sell is going to be extremely limited. further i would NEVER buy an air cooled 911 from a non-Porsche owner because i would have zero faith in proper maintenance/care/driving.

when you take the following terms/phrases:
fiberglass
mods
reliable
get my money back
bondo
fast
vs 740iL
cop owner
jersey
missing fuchs

and you put them into a hat and shake it up the hat will spontaneously combust injuring all within 100yds of it.

No surprise at all, that car was a dog, I told ya that way back in Post #13.

Good think you aren't the next sucker to own it.

There's lots of good ones out there, esp. if you have $15K burning a hole in your pocket. Don't waste your time with clapped out beaters like this one.

Buy a 930. Skip the learning curve and just go for it!

Just emailed you. I'm not the 3.2 expert but anyone who's owned a 911 for a while will be familiar with the vast range of quality out there.

Check the potomac and chesapeake pca websites for get togethers. Surely you'll be able to mooch a ride in a carrera this way. Definitely think the best thing you can do right now is see/ride/drive as many as possible.

Ass engined nazi slot cars farking rock and you will love it when you find the right car!
