Transmission, pull or no pull?
I am dropping my engine to deal with some oil leaks. Not my first time at engine pulling, but first time on a porsche. No rear main or trans leaks.
Tech section here on pelican shows to leave transmission in place, seperating it from the engine. Bently manual shows pulling engine and trans all as one unit. Whats the simpler method? Would like to hear from some that have done it a time or two and can speak from experience. Thanks

First time, well, take the tranny and the engine out attached at the same time.

it's an '87 with a G50, so they need to come out together. very difficult to get the release fork shaft out and back in with the assembly in the car. that needs to be done in order to separate the engine from the trans.
