turbo twists that fit SC no spacers
Hi guys,
just wondering if turbo twists 17s that are made to fit a SC are better value etc that normal twists and spacers. Are they rare or special or ho hum? I have an opportunity to buy some that i would like to buy but they are $2400 as opposed to mabe $1200 + spacers. I do like the idea of a simple fit and no spacers, but is it worth the premium? Chris in Aus ($AUD is used here) |

My .02:
The replica twists are fine for street use and should be less rotational weight due to being a "bolt-on". Adding spacers to fit factory twists will require adapters that have studs as your factory ones willnot be long enough for correct thread engagement of the lug nuts. Are you set on the "twist" look" If not, check out aftermarket wheels like BBS,ROTA, or others. For $2400, you could snag a sweet set off EBAY or here at Pelican.

Hmmm,
Yeah the are street use. Out here in Australia they are a bit of a rare find. You can get normal twists for about 1/2 that, but i think the simplicity of bolt ons is worthwhile. I have been told these and normal wheels are both cast aluminium.... Chris |
