I need a heater blower motor AGAIN !

I replaced the heater blower motor awyile ago with a used one, and now, it too, is making big horrible noises. Do I get that motor fixed? Or replace with just any motor? Or try used again? I don't like cold.

The $22 solution:

Carrera replacement heater blower (long)

edit: oooops. just noticed you had an SC. Try this: SC Blower Motor Brushes?

thanks, but not brushes, it's a bigger noise than that. It's like bearings/bushings

I read this thread about a week after replacing my motor with this part, although I still think this is a reasonable price for a new plug and play motor.

Our host sells just the motor alone for the rear blower. You can easily replace it in its housing. I did it about a year ago in my '87. I think it was about $120. If you go that route you have to attach the leads to the connector. Make sure you get the polarity correct. It will blow air in the right driection with either polarity but air flow will be much higher with the correct polarity.

Did you try a little oil / grease? I have taken my fresh air blower and rear heater apart recently and shot them with oil and have had great (if only temporary) success.

Still looking for a rear blower motor? I have what appears to be a NOS unit (or at least hardly used) that has been on my garage shelf for awhile. It's the complete motor/housing unit. Tested and works great! Will sell cheap!
