Well, job done tonight... I installed the nice magnecor wires, replaced the distributor cap and rotor while I was in there, and she fired right up with not a spark to be seen anywhere....

The magnecor wires don't quite "snap in" the distributor cap like the stock wires, so to check the car was firing all plugs, I put the timing gun's wire clamp on each wire in turn so see if I got a signal.. All good..

Since I now had the gun in my hand, and resolved some vacuum issue last month, I figured I might as well recheck timing... Yup, too advanced with the vacuum off, so that changed... Dialed that back a little, buttoned up. Tomorrow's drive to work is now officially a test run. It's so much more interesting that way...
