which lug nuts to order?
Want to get a set of lug nuts for track use. Not sure which one in Pelican Parts to order.... I see track day cars with lug nuts without ends on them and the lugs sticking past the nuts. Thats what Im looking for... and I think they are steel not alloy.... my alloy ones cracked. There is a set of Rennline steel nuts for $40... do I need conical or ball seat for FUCHS wheels?
REN-LS02-BAL thanks! |

Order these for track use, pretty inexpensive to boot.

Some track sanctioning bodies require steel lug nuts as a safety measure since they are stronger and some require open ones. The latter to ensure enough threads are engaged. They are also handy if you fool around with longer lugs and/or wheel spacers. You need the ball seat for Fuchs, except possibly(???) some very early ones.
I can't tell if the ones recommended above are open. You can call/e-mail Pelican to be sure. If they are, they would be fine. p.s. - Buy a couple extra.
