Targa / Cab release handle question.

ref part numbers :

911-565-075-41-M100 1974-85

911-565-075-62-70B-OEM 1986-89

Can someone enlighten me as to the differences in the top release handles?

i have an 85 Targa, that came with the correct handles for the Targa top. however, my 87 Cabriolet is missing the handles. seems they are different, hence the different part numbers.

anybody have any of these used?

they are $140.00 a pair for my cab!

why were they changed?

thank you.

Call Oklahoma Foreign he will get you a pair reasonable, part number is different is because the cab handles are longer than the targa and a different year has roller latches probably plug in different be sure and tell Gary you need the handles for roller latches.

Your welcome I think from looking that the early handle is male and the late handle is female. Considering how many parts Porsche has that span the years thats kinda weird.

Wow, what is your secret for keeping the black paint looking amazing! I'm having trouble keeping my silver car looking good. I also have an '87 cab. I have the handles but the surrounding plastic is cracked. Did you find the part number for the surrounding plastic?

That stuff you can look up in the parts diagram and search it in PP and order it from them.

i need to do that as well, my drivers side plastic is cracked. mine are in German, not sure if all of them are that way or not, but i want German ones, not English.
