Post SSI question

I'm looking at a set of SSI's on Ebay... Still waiting to hear back from the seller on the condition, etc., but I was wondering what else I would need in order to install these on my car if I got them. Are there any special accessories or devices I would also need to buy in order to install? I know that there is an issue with continuing to use my heating system. Do the SSI's need to be modified, or does my car? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

You will need: R and L SSI for 3.2's. These have a thicker flange. 6 new gaskets and flange hardware if possible, (6 allen bolts, 6 hex nuts). 2 oil lines to replace the rear line that the SSI's interfere with. A dual inlet, single or dual outlet muffler with side exhaust opening. Rear exhaust below the muffler as in earlier types will interfere with the valance. Two muffler gaskets and stainless bolts and lock nuts. Antisieze for all the hardware. To use the heating system, I had my old heat exchanger ducting converted at www.bodymotion.com. Your present one will not work with the SSI's. This really depends on your desire, skills, and heating needs. Many suggest adapting your old system to feed into one side of the exchanger and closing off the other. Without going into lots of details, using the altered ducting has worked, but a few improvements still need to be made.

Great info, thanks!

Are there any special things to look out for or avoid when considering buying used SSIs?
