2 YEAR update…..what, 2 years holy crap…..:confused::rolleyes::eek:
Been off the forum for a while busy with work and the house….. We it is quite the project for sure, going to see the boys at Dawes Motorsports tomorrow to try and get this wrapped up. It has been a long road; we now have a custom flared, wide body, turbo, race car that will be street legal!!! Yea! I don’t even know where to start, but basically everything is new or rebuilt…..i will let the pictures speak for themselves. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323875884.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323875915.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323875947.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323876102.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323876145.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323876184.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323876197.jpg |

That's one nice progress you made! Here's before and after pics.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1260814837.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323875884.jpg What is the brand and model of a tail/deck? Is the tail and deck fiberglass or just the tail (bolted to stock deck)? I've been looking into a stock looking 930 fiberglass tail/deck. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323875915.jpg |
Hi Mike,
I am not sure of the make, Peter had it laying around the shop.....but I can say it is a fiberglass tail bolted to the stock metal deck lid. Kevin |
Hi Kevin,
the car you found in excellence magazine is a project from german top tuner DP Motorsport. Find more nformation at Home and on facebook |

I was looking for the "LIKE" button, but remembered this isnt Facebook.
Regardless.... (LIKE) :-) |
Your car makes me fear the tear down of my car, lol. This is a classic "while you were in there" rabbit hole. It looks amazing. It is going to exceed your initial expectations tenfold. Can't wait to see some shots of it out in the wild and running.
|
Very cool. It has come a VERY long way from your humble initial plan.
|
Nice! It must be a good feeling. 2 years does not seem that long ;) I have 2 months to put my car back together...wait?! what?!
Car is looking great!!! Give us a picture/data tour of all the changes when for the wrap up! Very cool car. |
Can you show more pictures and info of the fuse box/wiring kit you went with?
|
Loved the thread. Was excited when you initially decided to keep it narrow as that is my intention. But I completely understand every change you made. Super happy you stayed away from the Subaru engine. I have bad experiences with Subaru. Really love the minimalist interior. I like how it shows off the car for what it is. Excellent work and great vision.
Keep us updated. |
Very cool car, love the fenders and bumper. The grey paint looks great with the black wheels. Have you driven it yet?
|
Wow...great job. Car looks wonderful.
