Weltmeister 2" Shift Lever Extension
I had 10 made and it works great! The 1" Section is a very tight fit into the WM Lever. I had to remove the inside lip and then used 2 hour epoxy Glue. I have the knob about 1/2 inch above the WM Lever and the Shift Throws are a little shorter than the Porsche Short Shift lever. Remember, the Step in the WM lever about 2 inches down from the Knob is how the WM is made. The Joint between the extension and the WM Lever is about 1/4 inch below the Beauty Ring on the Shift Knob.

Less brakes, more gas!

I have drawn this out a dozen times and never pulled the trigger... The other way of doing it is by cannibalizing an old shift lever and using the plug to join the two sections. A bit of paint and you can't tell it has an extension on it...
Can I get one of these? Seems like a good product ot have Wayne add also. Did you make it out of steel? Looks like it... -Michael

To answer a question that has come up! A stock lever is about 0.040 inch larger in ID than the WM Lever. I do not know if this holds true for the Factory SHort Shift lever. The OD of the part of the extension that is glued into the lever is 0.380 inch and the OD of the extension is 15 MM or 0.590 inch. Me feeling is that yes it can be used to extend a factory lever but more care will be needed to hold the extension straight and more glur / JB Weld to fill the 1/2 MM (0.020" Space around the Extension.
