Porsche 911 S 1967?

306250 is this chassis number an 911 S?

Only if it has an "S" after it on the body stamping. This is located right "in front" of the smugglers box. The id tag by the front latch panel will not neccesarily have the ID stamp.

Here's what you're looking for. Though it's had undercoating sprayed, it's 307985S.

Engine number will start with 96.

Ok,
have the car in my posession now...
No S on the stamped number
Fahrzeug states 25/10/1966......Guess it's a '66 then....
It's a body with those vents at the rear roof (unique to O and A series?)......and yes it has a (sliding) sunroof...
How many were build with sunroof and those vents (+/- 130? someone told me) and are there still around....
It had approx. 20 years one owner in germany, then it moved to belgium in 1977 where it recieved an engine rebuild (don't know wether it swapped engine at this point) .....There is e 901/03 magnesium engine in the back "2081447" with Webers IDT, think this is a 1968 "T" engine, haven't looked at the gearbox yet...
The new owner drove approx. 160 km with it and suffered a stroke...It went then through several (dealer)hands and turned up in Berchem (small) town in the region of Antwerp. It was then purchased by the previous owner and went out on the occasional trip. Finally it ended up in storage in a fair good condition....with other cars....The owner moved house and phone number but had a monthly payement on the storage......that's where it all went wrong apparantely .... some lowlife tryd to nick it (some parts went, maybe the engine to?) and it was left in the open....the owner of the storage found it outside but couldn't get it back in and couldn't contact the owner....he (wisely) decided to put a cover over the car, and yes it was plastic non breathing......this is the sad result........Fred Flintstone would be happy with this one but I personally prefer ventilation at the windows not through the bottom.......
The 5,5 X 15 INCH Fuchs stayed with the previous owner......but have origonal steel wheels 5,5 X 15 INCH lying around to replace these 7J and at the rear 8 J Rial wheels which where put on to keep it a rolling one.....
Interior is complete and origonal....
I have (now with this one coming) a cramped garage so sorry for the bad pics:

Reading the above posts, it's not an S, though, and has a '68T motor.

Still will be fun.

there are so many worse examples here that have been brought back to life. I think this car is a heck of a good starting point.

I've seen similar "finds" like this and it almost looks like they sat in salt water for a time to get so badly corroded.. shame. good luck

Thks for the response...
It's not an "S",
Meanwhile the linkage of the Weber carbs decided to give way thanks to WD40 and penetrating oils.... and permitting full throttle again.... Also tryed to polish and look what a result I got see the difference between those parts....so it wasn't pink but red....origional colour was Bahama Yellow...97 6605 L
chrome has pittings but is coming up nice....
The lowlife whom tryed to nick it got the contact lock loose but it was still present behind the dash.....a contact to the previous owner stated that the origional keys should be somewhere in the car....under the carpets or .....he couldn't remember where exactly......hope they didn't fell through the bottom during transport...but thought you could buy the keys by the numbers on the lock and the doorlocks at a modest 15 €....Still it's always exciting to start treasure hunting at those lurking jewels (old coins etc....) in a + 40 year old car....
Also is there at the rear of the roof on the inside a zipper...why is this? Is this for the electric components of the sunroof?
It's blank glass all round....

Yes, the zipper on the headliner is for access to the motor/trans/cable tubes for the sunroof. Curious on how abused that car looks and the visors look perfect! Are they in as good of condition as they appear?

Yes I can confirm this the sun visors are in perfect condition, just need cleaning, what are they worth? Someone was very interested in them, as is the top dashboardcover and door cards etc.....it was a very nice car prior to residing outside for 3 years....

I think that if it is born on or after 1 October 66 it is a 67 model year, I am not 100% sure though.

Not correct. The first 67 911 was produced in May, but 66 models were still in production. If the vin is 305101 or higher, then it is a 67 model coupe; the S version shared the same VIN range and included an S after the VIN # in a few places. There were also some 66 model year cars with VIN's less than 305000 that were designated 1967 Deluxe, but the true nature of these cars is not well known. There was no known VINs in the 305000 to 305100 range. Part of this was due to the start of 67 production before 66 production ended, so the 67 VIN range was chosen arbitrarily and 66 production never made it up to that point. Besides that, the cars were not completed in VIN sequence anyway.
