Leland has some questions..

HI guys, just got the following e mail with a request to pass it on:

Hey that's cool Paul!
The guys lit up when I told them. I've gotten car magazines from Saffs and cookies and stogies from Randy. Please relay them my thanks on the board as I don't have their email addresses to do it properly.
Also could you post the following on the board for me?

Ok, since I am sitting over here in the desert with nothing better to do with my money (can't let it go to waste!) I've decided to start on the interior of my car. The carpet is shot and is in need of replacement. Several months ago we all had a discussion about the pitfalls of domestic over German carpet. I think I've decided to go with German but would like more imput.
I am also going to replace my factory Recaro sport seats (such a shame) with aftermarket sport seats. I like allot of different seats but the Corbeau Targa RS seems to be the best buy. I have not, however, seen one of these seats in person. (Jack don't you have a pair?) If anyone has seen these suckers I'd really appreciate some "eyes on" advice. (Do they look cheap, chincy, rickety, shody out of place etc. ) How do they feel in comparison to factory sport seats, bolsters, lumbar ect.
And has anyone figured out who makes the most reasonably priced dual outlet muffler?

And lastly, tires.
I know this can be the subject of much debate but I need new rubber on the ass end of my car. The fronts have less than maybe 6000 miles on them but they are Bridgestone RE71s and have been discontinued. So it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and order new tires all around. These are strictly for day to day spirited driving. I am mainly looking at something that will last longer than 10K. I am running a set of C2 replica 17" rims all the way around. When I bought them, the gents from Wheel Enhancement told me that 205 50 17 was as wide as I could go in the front. But I swear I have read that a few guys with these same replica 17" wheels have run 225 wide tires. I know I've read it somewhere, sometime. Any ideas?
Thanks guys,

P.S the reason I have to relay posts through Paul or Jim is because our internet access here is "filtering" any web sites listed as such things as "vehicles" (ahem, Wayne.) or "entertainment". But others like EBS or Platz mall I can get through.

Carpet

I can't help leland out with his other questions, but as for the carpet. I just received my new carpet. It is a domestic from Original Fit. I looks really good, and I have heard that they are a real good company and it shouldn't wear too quickly.

I personnaly would save the extra $, get domestic and spend the $ on the tires or other stuff.

Regarding seats, I don't know how tall Lee is, but as I understand it the Corbeau seats sith higher than the normal factory seats, which sit higher than the sports he has now. I know it is less of a big deal with a Targa, but it is something to keep in mind. Any reason he doesn't just recover the sports he has?

Doesn't someone make replacement seat covers for them?

World Uphostery (link above) has a good selection of the OEM material carpet kits, headliners, and seat recovering kits. Their Champagne color "sliver knit wool" kit was perfect for my 911. It took less than two weeks from order to delivery. They do the cutting and sewing themselves.

I was surprised to see a full selection of the perforated headliner materials in many colors, including my dark blue color.

The seat recovering kits are pretty expensive. They do have a closeout/returned items section if you're flexible.

I have no "relationship" with them other than as a satisfied customer.

I wonder...if Wayne listed this as a porn site, would he sail right past the military censors?
