How much oil flows through the engine ? Say @ 3000 RPM, 2-3 L a minute?? Just wondering if anybody knew, 3.3 L 930

GT3 RS pump (83 liters per minute, scavenge side 135 liters per minute).

GT1 pump, also used on the Turbo LeMans GT and certain other race cars (83 liters per minute, scavenge side 160 liters per minute)

the 964 is mg,pressure side = 65l/min, scavange side = 1.84 x pressure side
the 930 3.3 is al/cast iron,pressure side = 100 l/min(best I remember) and is 8mm longer than the 964 pump ie needs a different shaft

Per Bill V from this thread: Oil Pump Rating

The turbo and the GT3 have the same size pressure housing so it should be the same 83 liters per min.

Temperature will also change that rate.

The 964 pump and the 3.2 pump should be similar in size and flow on the pressure side.

How will temperature change the rate on a positive displacement ( gear) pump?. Maybe pressure ???

The pump itself changes tolerences as temperature climbs. The efficiency of the pump is reduced and one reason why the scavange on the turbo pump is cast in iron. The early mag pumps often experience reduced performance as temps climb, which I can only attribute to distortion as aluminum and mag share similar expansion rates.
