Rear Deck 911 Emblem
This one is for the older porsche model owners. I guess more of a trivia question.
In what year did Porsche use the gold 911T rear deck emblem? 1971? 1972? 1973? I have a 1973.5 T with the PORSCHE rear deck lettering in gold plate and have a chance to buy a gold 911T emblem to replace the silver existing one. Pretty combo. I want to keep the car as original as I can and my sales brochures do not show a gold emblem on any of the photo models. Was this an aftermarket item or a dealer option? Anyone know? Thanks Bob '73.5 T |

The gold emblem was an option.

I've got one. Are all the "Carrera" emblems on the back of the 3.2 cars plastic and stick on? No posts, just sticky tape. I was surprised to find mine that way and now know why it always looked like it was in the wrong place. I thought how can somebody screw up placement when there are two holes in the metal? Are they all plastic?

RJ, you could always put a SC emblem on your Carreara. They are held on but screws and would give your car a little extra class and style
