weber carb setup stupid questions

what is the best way to setup the fule lines? do i need to run a return line? is it better to run the carbs in series? how bout a pressure regulator? I am setting thes up for my 914_6 project. and i want to replace the fule lines...

Did you try the 914 board?

Emery,

Carburetor installations like return lines, ala 914/6, which really helps prevent vapor lock in hot weather.

A pressure regulator is mandatory for Webers as they MUST have 3.5 psi.

Carbs are fed in parallel from the FPR,....again, look at pics of the 914/6 as a general example.

Thanks steve for the input.

I set mine up using a spin-on fuel filter for a boat. It has multiple connections, with two outputs, allowing me to use one for each carb. I come into the filter from the tank and use the other input for the return with a valve in it to constrict flow back to the return, thus regulating the pressure to the carbs. I put a gauge between the filter and the valve so you can see what the pressure to the carbs is. Then, I take one of each of the outputs to each of the carbs. I though it made for a nice neat installation. By the way, if you adopt this, don't use the filter with the plastic bowl. Here's a diagramhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1263180099.jpg
