Workshop Wishes

Right now I'm in the planning phase of an addition to my Garage.
This addition will be knocking out a portion of the back wall and adding a shop, Aprox 16ft X20ft. I'm planning on finding an old furnace for heat, and one or two curcuits for 220 power and am looking for feedback as to what else others would wish in their shop.

Make your ceilings high enough for a lift. Even if you can't afford one right now, if you work on your car lots.....you'll want one later. I would also have a heavy duty work bench, something big enough that you can put parts on and still WORK on it. Another item I suggest is a vise attached to the bench, like having an extra set of hands at times. Lastly I would get good lights if you work on it at night especially.

Oh and the best thing to get IF you can, Very hard to get. Would be Warren or John Walker to move in.

Garage edition

I work as an Aircraft Mechanic, and we have a floor that is painted. We spill oil, hydraulic fluid, grease, fuel and so forth. It is so easy to clean and with a lot of lighting, it tends to reflect light upwards, wich is great especially working on your back. The paint I believe is an epoxy type paint, with a high shine (show room floor). Also install a facet in there if possible you could spray off the grime an oil right out the exit. Easy cleaning.
