I threw the 18x9 18x11 Kinesis K28's on Roberto's car just for fun. I also took apart a bunch of Fikse wheels I had laying around to make a set (FM5's on one side of the car and FM10's on the other side)

Bit off topic, and I apologize, but what do you torque the wheel center fasteners to? I hoping to remove the wheel centers on my Fikse FM-5's to clean and polish the area between the spoke and rim, but leery to do so. Do you need a special fixture to mount the centers to rims to insure perfect centering? |
Dave - you won't need any special tool, the center fits in perfectly. You'll want to re-torque them in a star pattern to 17 foot pounds, no more.
|
That carpet kit doesn't look like it is correct for a 993
|
What type and where did you get the foam - doing the same on mine now.
3M adhesive? The carpet kit is liken to the Rubic's cube.... |

here's the latest..
I installed the carpet kit yesterday and finished it up today. Mounted sidemounts and sliders on the Pole Positions, threw them in the car. I've still got some finish work to do on the interior, but it's getting close! http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...random5007.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...random5011.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...random5028.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...random5034.jpg |
You were looking for a GT2 spoiler: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/530662-fs-911-gt2-spoiler-ma-shaw.html#post5231133

Sweet! Really looking good!
|
Damn! That's nice!

Latest progress.. Ralph and I installed the KW V3's, Tarett drop links, Walrod bushings, and TRG sways. I think I'll have to get RS rear drop links, the tarret drop links don't seem to be long enough to be used with the KW V3's and TRG sways. Right now the biggest hold up is a missing oil cooler bracket.

Great looking seats.
|
I'm not sure what the tang on the shock body looks like but for JIC you need to use long tangs and RS curved drop links
here you can see the RS drop link secured to the incorrect short tang, the required long tang is below http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1271095724.jpg |
wow,
what a great looking car! |

Damn Thatcher this thing is sick! Definitely on my list of future projects! Not sure I'd do much differently, maybe in black? Carry on, well done! |
