front compartment trim cover

The other day I was detailing the front compartment of my Carrera 3.2 and removed the cardboard trim piece at the rear of the trunk, to get at the ventilation pipework:

The cardboard trim is really tatty as it has gone a bit soggy from leakage from the brake fluid reservoir and I am loathed to put it back in the car.

Does anyone know of a replacement of this part. I am curious to know what other owners have done if they have removed this part.

I was thinking that a replacement could be fabricated out of very thick black "saddle bag" type leather. My local trimmer could probably make one.

Any comments welcome!

Post an add for the cover on classifieds. You'll find one pretty quick.

Just leave it off along with the carpet and the spare and the jack and the tools and the duster and all the other crap in there.
