What size wheels and tires are you using?

My car has 16x6 front wheels with 205/55-16 tires and 16x7 rear wheels with 225/55-16 tires... what are you using on your NINE ELEVEN?

205/55/16 front on 7" Fuchs
245/45/16 rear on 8" Fuchs.
'81 SC

There were some helpful but skeptical warnings on this board about running the 245's on 8 inch rims, however when I checked the tire manufacturer's website (Toyo) for the specs, it indicated that 8 inch was their ideal width for this tire. I took the gamble (I have to admit that I was really swayed by the look) and so far, so good. Good grip and predictable (street only, so far), but who knows about same size rim with another tire.

Factory option 16x6 & 16x7 Fuchs: 205/55 in the front and 225/50 in the rear

Car currently has Yokohama A520s, which were on the car when I bought it. Will probably switch to Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs when the Yokohamas wear out.

On my '87 3.2 (w/o turbo look option):

Factory option Fuchs
Front: 16x6, 205/55
Rear: 16x7, 225/50

Conti ExtremeContact ultra-high performance all season

Yes, I could have gone wider, but (as shown by my tire selection) I like to drive the car year-round.

I'm planning on a set of 17's with killer summer-only tires eventually. Probably Rota Fox 17x7.5 & 17x9, tire size tbd (as i haven't decided if I want to have the fender lip rolled).

Where are you guys finding non-race rubber 245/45/16 size tires?

I'm running 205/55 on 7x16 in front,8x16 on 245/45 in back.

Sumitomo HTRz tires are still available in 245/45 although TireRack does periodically list them as not in stock.

The most economical are Fuzion ZRi's. Tire Rack has them for $103/ea in that size

I had the Fuzions for a while but got a deal on the Sumis. I still have a set of 205/55 Fuzions if anyone wants a great deal on them.

I just put on a set of Toyo T1R tires in 205/55-16 and 245/45-16. So far they are great. They are street tire that replaced my Hankooks that are no longer available. The options in 245/45 were pretty slim to say the least this go around. I do not know what it is going to be like next time I need tires in a year or two!
