A Pic, Introduction, and a ?

Hi, my name is Chris, and I am a Porschaholic...

I've posted a few times on the board, yet never formally introduced myself and my car.

But before the pictures, can I ask a question without getting flamed?? Just a quick one(and a half).

I just got a set of those wicked neat aluminum oil return tubes from our host. Now the question(s).

Q1 - Do I absolutely need to drain the oil? Last time I did it, the engine was out of the car.

Q2 - The larger side faces the crankcase, correct?

See. Not too bad.

Thanks guys.

Glad to see a RTR here at Pelican........

Chris,

I knew it won't be long before you decide to get a dependable running Porsche (just kidding). Do you still have those vintage motorcyles in your garage? You probably have no clue who I am but somehow I recognized your name and the garage. You were once the club registrar and officially responsible for accepting participants in the RTR driver's ed program. And it took me two (2) long years to get into one of the club's DE (Pocono). That's after I found a 'godfather'.

For most of you who don't know this guy, he's an excellent writer and has a unique style that will make you enjoy and laugh reading his articles. He's a nice fellow. Welcome to Pelicanparts forum!!!!

Tony

Welcome Chris,

better drain the oil before you remove the oil return tubes.... Otherwise it'll be real messy.

Welcome. If you change the tubes in that weather.....you might not need to drain the oil!

Welcome. Nice car. My college roommate grew up in Wayne (on Chestnut maybe?) & currently owns the bike shop in downtown Wayne. His name is Chip -- look him up if you need a bike.
