Stoney,

I suspect the type number is 901/07 not 901/7.
The transmission number 7191947 is consistent with type 901/07.

This is a 1969 sand-cast aluminum 5-speed transmission.

As original it is geared:
1st = ‘A’ = 11:34.
2nd = ‘F’ = 18:34. (reinforced – 14 mm threads)
3rd = ‘M’ = 22:29.
4th = ‘S’ = 25:25.
5th = ‘Z’ = 29:23.
R&P = 7:31.

This could have been equipped with a ZF LSD.
You should check to see if the opposite flange turns same or opposite when the other is turned. Same direction = LSD.

If the normal (open) differential, it is the ‘simplified’ version and MUST be updated. Search Pelican on “simplified differential”.

The casting date 25/68 (25th week, 1968) is consistent with an early ’69 transmission.

EDIT
The clutch arm ball pivot is positioned for the 215 mm push-type clutch of ’64-‘69 (and not for the 225 mm pull-type clutch of ’70-‘71).

Best,
Grady

Please post all the details of the rebuild.
For that much money, it should be exactly correct.
You don't want to pay £1k and find you need to spend that much again - or more.

A 3rd-party inspection (PPI) might be in order to confirm the work and condition.
The cost is a few paper gaskets and paper shim gaskets.

What is your use? Whet year, model 911?

Best,
Grady

If that's got a factory LSD in it, 1000 pounds is a giveaway even if it hasn't been rebuilt.
