These cars really are moving art. Looks and sounds beautiful.

By the way, is it just me or are you due for a valve adjustment?

Its a 1 in 1 out with a euro premuffler. Its remarkably quiet with no droning or resonance.

I think I heard the same thing, I dont think its the valves though, I think its just the sound quality.

Ha Ha I watched that first video and I thought to myself: "Must be a 915 car."

It must have been the F-18 flying overhead out of Miramar. Valves were recently adjusted. Yep the car just drives much better with a slow, deliberate 915 type shift.

You might have better sound quality from inside the car it will filter out ambient noise.

it's nice to finally hear an M&K video from outside the car....there are already a ton of in-car M&K vids on youtube.

Why is it, even with a great aftermarket exhaust, a 911's exhaust note is so "lacking"? Is it because of the small-ish displacement? The air-cooled engine? I guess as an American, I've been raised on big thunderous V8's through Flowmaster-type mufflers, and that's whats been the "standard" for us; but still the 911's exhaust sound leaves so much to be desired. I mean it's not Japanese 4-cylinder through a coffee can bad, but it just doesn't send those chills up my spine like a Aston Martin, Ferrari, or geez, ANY other car in its league.

I am guessing you have not heard a healthy 911 engine with a 2in2 out go flying by? They hold there own I will just say that.

Call me crazy, but I love the 911 exhaust note in all its iterations (maybe mid-70s aside). From the cammy early Ss to the larger displacement 964s.

It's not a V-8, that's for damn sure. It's much more mechanical, subtle, and to my ear, purposeful. There's a lot of noise generated by the fan, which fills in a lot of the dead space and makes it a much smoother, less aggressive tone. So that could be part of what doesn't sit right with you.

I'll find a video of mine and post up.
