pagid pads - where to buy?

Called Pelican the other day and they don't have any pagid pads for my car (87). Don't know if they have pads for other years. Anyone know where to get pagid pads? Also, has anyone used pagid blues? I have metal masters now. Are the blues any better? I was going to go to the orange but then heard about the blues.

Thanks,

Try here;

I have used Pagid Blue for the past 5 yrs, they are a nice compromise street/track pad . No squeel, moderate dusting. I have used the Metalmasters extensively on my Audis and briefly on the Porsche, they are great non-dusting pads for street use, but didn't make it through a single track weekend. Pagid Orange is designed for track use and will squeel a lot on the street. Ferodo also makes a nice low dust street/track pad.

I have the Ferodos. They dust A LOT and wear rapidly on the track.

I'll be trying Pagid for my next set.

On my 914, I've been running Porterfield R4's, a carbon-kevlar race pad. They have a very high friction coefficient and temperature tolerance., and have held up well. Moderate dust. Decent cold performance. Noisy as hell though! They even squeek sometimes in normal driving (i.e. when not even braking) just from the tiniest contact with the rotors. I am running anti-squeal backing pads and I always chamfer the edges.

I guess track pads on the street aren't for the timid. Next time I might try some Pagids, or Performance Friction, just for comparison.

I have Ferodo street pads on my 911, and they are awesome - quiet and consistent, almost zero dust. I did one DE at Willow with them too; no problems but I was not pushing it really hard. I would DEFINITELY not do hardcore track driving with any street pads. That's just asking for trouble.

You can also try Performance Products for Pagids. They do carry the Oranges, btw.

Hate to mention Performance Products on this board, but they do have a good selection of pads including all Pagids. FWIW, I run the Mintex w/ ATE Powerdiscs on my(street) car- silent, no dust to speak of and good grip.

Thanks for the info on the other places to get pagids and the other race pad options.
