yeah, but its esthetically annoying.

cleaning inside glass with some alcohol works fine a period of time... though issue returns

The tach. is usually not affected and that's the one that counts the most.

+1! That's a clever idea, I haven't heard before. I look into this.

They all fog up. Mine always have. I have read that if you get the inside of the glass cleaned up, they will fog less.

I wouldn’t bother possibly ruining you gauges just to dry them. They will dry on their own

Just not true. On my recent trip to Florida the humidity was brutal, and it has been silly humid here in Oklahoma. I park my 911 in a nice dry garage, and I drive with the windows up 99.999% of the time. Either the heater or AC is running if the engine is running. I saw a tiny amount of fogging in just the gas gauge while in Florida in 95 degree 85% humidity, rainy day. It cleared up withing a short time of the sun coming out and the rain stopping. It was only the one day, and it was unusual to see it at all.

I suspect driving with the windows down may be the cause. I drove my 914 with no AC for 25 years. I have had enough convertible, and window down driving to last a lifetime. Now I drive with the windows up.

Ok well your in the minority of people that have effective AC. Generally speaking. 1980s 911 gauges fogging is a well known issue

In any case my fogging, which usually happens in spring, clears up in minutes. Not a big deal
