Suspension Refresh Review
Greetings,
I am in the middle of a suspension refresh. ![]() I am mostly looking for feedback in the way of “did I miss something” or “that configuration/combo will not work. I have a 1976 911S with about 110k miles on it. The engine is stock with a MSD and Pertronix Ignition. I have lowered the car to Euro specs and upgraded to 16x6 and 16x7 Fuchs. The suspension with the exception of the upgrades I have done is stock. Here is a list of parts that I am installing: FRONT: Turbo Tie Rods – TTK-930N Turbo Tie Rod Wrench – PEL-SR2201 Monoball Strut Mount Set Camber Plates – PEL-TE-MSMS911 Rebel Racing Products Front Bushing Set – PEL-RSR-FRBSH Ball Joint – 911-341-049-01-M69 Cotter Pin – N-021-521-1-OEM Lock Plate – 901-341-426-00-M260 Nut for Ball Joint – 901-341-425-00-M260 Threaded Pin for Ball Joint – 911-341-119-06-M260 Washer for Threaded Pin – 900-089-006-01-OEM Lock Nut for Threaded Pin – 999-084-019-02-M100 Ball Joint Wrench – PEL-TOL-P210 Front Sway Bar Bushing – 911-343-792-03-M260 Rennline Truss Mount Strut Bar – REN-SB809193-SI ** I have a set of 21mm torsion Bars to install, as part of the suspension refresh. I have Koni Adjustable shocks currently installed. REAR: Elephant Racing Weather-Sealed Monoball Cartridge – ERMP-2020901 18mm Rear Sway Bar Bushing – 911-333-793-02-M260 ** I already installed a set of Adjustable Sway-Away Spring plates and 27mm Torsion Bars with Bilstein Sport Shocks. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated before I pull the trigger and order the parts. Thanks! Gary ![]() |

You will love the RSR bushings. Make sure you push the front housing and A-arm all the way back into the tightened rear mount before you torque the front one. This makes sure there is no axial play that can cause a slight, one-time "tick" when you back out of the garage. There is no harm in this condition, however.
