92' 911 battery drain

i bought this 911 used, has 105k miles - there has been an issue with battery drain - now the right front parking lamp stays on with car shut off and switch off.
any ideas?

Could be wired wrong, could be a bad headlight switch, or the headlight switch wired wrong
I had a similar issue and it was my headlight switch!

Is the turn signal switch on? If the turn signal is set in either direction with the key off, then the parking lights will illuminate on that side.

Lots of potential reasons for the battery drain. Search the 964/993 forum.

Yep. Like Tyson said, check your turn signal for being on with the ignition off. I got concerned the first time that happened to me until I learned that it was designed that way - it's a safety light when parking along side the road. For a current drain, the only thing I've done is connect an ampmeter in series with the battery and if it's above say 15 mA start pulling fuses until you find the culprit and then check the wiring on that circuit. Good luck.
