normal temp?
so i have a82 sc all stock exept msd and cat bypass. i live in southern texas and it was in the mid 80s yesterday(not bragging for you northern folks im from pa originally)took my babies( sc and my daughter she loves my porsche) for a 100 mile ride yesterday. with my a/c runningat speed or with it off idling in traffic my car was running just below halfway up the guage. is this normal? my car still has trumpet auxillary cooler in the fenderwell. if i was to upgrade to rad stile would it run cooler? does anyone have an idea of about what oil temp that would be? should i put some cyl head temp guages in or will it scare me?

For long term engine preservation, the optimum operating oil temp is between 180-210. Let's see what happens in the 100F ambient temperature range. You may need the 87-89 3.2 radiator/fan type cooler with a 200F fan thermostat. Good luck, Gerry ![]() Or one of these. ![]()
