list your favorite mechanic
Hey, Who about thread about your good/great experinces with P-car mechanics? I'm tired of the bashing of bad shops, lets list who gets the job done and done right! This can only help those guys that haven't been taken yet.
My shop is in Malvern, PA. Performance Automotive. Pete and Paul are the best at fixing it right the first time. Their shop is a car lovers dream, Jag's, Austin's, all years of P-cars, I even saw a bad to bone Pantera in over the summer. They're honest and just plain concerned about your car. Anyone looking for service in PA would be wise to check them out. |

I'm not telling. At least not on a posting board. Because then I'd have to wait 6 months instead of 3 before he can schedule my car! Advice: NEVER let your car break during racing season, if you have a street car.

Like a lot of us here, I prefer to wrench my car personally. But when the going gets tough, I trust Rudy.
Now, as much as I'd like to tell you where he works and all that, he'd kill me if I did 'cause his shop is real tiny...and he likes it that way. (If I lived a little further South, I'd trust my car to none other than John Walker.) |
John Walker! Even though my car and I have never been to his shop! I have only recieved great advice. If I lived in the Seattle area, he would be my wrench.

For fair, dependable machine work & engine work, you can't beat Motor Works in San Diego. It's where all the local Porsche shops send their machine work to. Sergio Bartolini, who has been working on Porsches for 40 years, will also assemble an engine for you at a fair price. If I were in the north west, I'd take my work to John Walker. Thanks to him, Warren & the others who contribute regularly on this BBS.

Stashu's in Longwood, FL. The owner is a very experienced guy named Stan. He is a pretty honest guy, and does the job right the first time everytime.

John Gregory - Spyder Automobiles
Hey Victor – this is the guy who Matt @ Weltmeister apprenticed for. Why go to the student when you can go to the master…:D I’m going to have to speak to John about all the free publicity I’m giving him. It’s gotta be worth a free service! cheers guys |
Favorite Mechanic
I'll cast another vote for Denny Kahler's shop in Dublin, CA.
