Found out what the problem was...

Ok,
It seems that I manage to drive like its stolen. I finally noticed a correlation, it sometimes happens when the stereo is on loud and playing AC/DC, Bon Scott vintage of course. Can any of you Aussie blokes verify this?
Last night at midnight I was driving home on HWY 9, in the rain when."Next to the Moon", "Gone Shootin'"and "Down Payment Blues" made the inside of my head itch and my trigger foot itchy, slide it in,hang it out on the exits. Love the rain and reduced traction, slides very nicely in and out. Bon and Angus coupled with the 4-5K sounds from the 2.7 are pure testosterone!
Ok, I will drive slower, tomorrow!

Eric,
I have the same problem when listening to Yes. My wife made me remove the stereo from my car and I am no longer allowed to drive her down Hwy 9. Hwy 17 is still OK, but only if I keep it under 65.

Yes - You can drive the car OR listen to AC/DC but you cannot do both at once

That's what I thought, putting Powerage or '74 Jailbreak makes me want to smash stuff, gotta be careful while in a car, keep reminding myself that guard rail bumper cars isn't cool! Been listening to AC/DC since the early 70's and it still makes me crazy(er) than a nagging wife ever could.
Bon Lives!

My favorites are Molly Hatchet "Flirtin with disaster" and Sammy Hagar "cant drive 55" and songs like them. Cant wait to get the stereo back in the car and top down. Will turn it down just enough to get all those turbo sounds.

Vintage AC/DC in a 911, I'm not alone. You MUST listen to Rhino Bucket's first 3 albums. (CD's I guess...) 1. Self titled, 2. "Get Used to it" 3. Pain
ClickClickBoom, I'll even mail you a copy!!!! 1992-1993 era.
Rock on!!!

Cruisin back to work last night, on one of my favorite back roads. Rockin to Nickleback,
just cracked the triple digits when I see oncoming lights. I slow to allow adaquate room
when the red lights come on...... anyone know how much 86 in a 55 will cost me in CA???
I asked the CHPer if he wanted to go double or nothing if he could catch me in the next three miles.

Thats OK, Chuck is the father of R&R, the Beach Boys are for crusin' with the top down. But AC/DC is for serious azz whoop. All the above listed tunes are great, but Bon Scott AC/DC is a force to be reckoned with carefully. If you don't have any AC/DC start out with Highway to Hell and work your way up to Powerage and '74 Jailbreak. If you don't work your way up, you could end up with your living room trashed, the cops at your door, and your wife hosing you down with a garden hose, not to mention the dog, who will be 2 counties away as soon as Bon starts wailing on Get it Hot.
Be careful out there, AC/DC is like crack with a oxycontin back and will cause wreckage if you are not wise.
eric
P.S. Watch out for "Let there Be Rock", this is for advanced abusers only, you will wreck your car or be fixing drywall, and the dog will never trust you again, not even for a car ride!

I don't have working sound systems in any of my Porsches. I like the sound of the cars too much. Love the sound of those air cooled engines.

Porsche, I've usually got the 80's/70's rock going. In the Viper, I keep it a little more modern (and loud. Sidepipes make a lot of noise).
The only car I consider it a sin to play music in is the Ferrari F355 with a Capristo exhaust system (do a search on youtube and I challenge any car lover not to melt).

I keep Sinatra or Tony Bennett handy for when I'm stuck next at a traffic light to one of those rolling juke boxes with the 26" spinner wheels.
If you blast Frank many times the car next to you will roll their windows up giving some relief from the "thump, thump thump."
Yeah, I'm old, so what!?!

This may be a little off-base, but try "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff.
Kind of a one-hit wonder in the classical music world. However, the piece is usually described as a bachannal.

So I sound like a geek - however, this piece absolutely ROCKS.

(yes, my tastes usually revolve around more mainstream stuff - but seriously, check this out).

Haven't tried it in my car yet - but do mean to...
