my car turned 160K miles today

My 82 Targa just turned 160000 miles at lunch today, a milestone of sorts.

I bought the car September 2006, it had 131K miles at the time. So a rough
average of 8286 miles per year. Over its life roughly 5517 miles per year.

I know its had at least 3 clutches, I did one.
The transmission (1st and 2nd gear) was repaired.
I had a couple of loose (NOT broken!) head stud nuts which scared me to death.

At some point in its life the original seats were replaced with 1985 seats, I've recovered those.

This is not the best version of an SC you'll ever find but its been great so far.

Yup, these cars are great. It sounds like ours are pretty similar.
I recently looked back over my car's records spanning ~250k miles, and it's kind of interesting how regular some of the major replacements are. Example: new alternators almost exactly every 75k miles. Clutches every 80k.
My car may never win a PCA concours, but I bet I have more seat time in the last three years than most wine and cheesers have from the last 30.
