Shift coupler

I just took a ride for the first time after installing new Wevo shift coupler and rebuilt my pedal cluster with bronze bushings...OMG what a difference, my stock couplers bushings where way gone, but I think even with new bushings it would not shift this good.....I recommend this upgrade to everyone...Thanks again Pelican keep taking my money

how hard was the bushing install (time)

I made my own coupler bushings - the wevo is great but with a little effort and $200 savings, I like what I ended up with

+1 for WOW on a well adjusted and non-sloppy shifter

what's next

Nothing against new mounts, spark plug wires, brake pads or tires to name a few commonly replaced items.

Most dramatic upgrade results are a result from replacing worn components with new.

YMMV when replacing good serviceable parts with new/upgraded parts.

I did the bushings a while ago and that alone made a huge difference. I did it in a morning. I had to fiddle with the fine adjustments to get it right.

Delrin - tight slip fit on the pin, loose press fit on the housing...made it round and used a dremel to knock the "ears" off in the areas needed for clearance - made the ears thicker too so there is no twist...its snug to the square part... been about a year, feels sliky smooth

I think the Wevo coupler will transmit a bit more noise through the u-joint, given that it is solid. It moves nicely in any direction though, and has no binding action so I think of it or the Stomski with the ball joint as a must have with a short shifter.

I do have the factory short shift kit installed and I do not notice anymore noise or vibration through the wevo then before.....you may have a point rusnak but if the noise is there I cant notice it....even if there was a minor amount of noise with this upgrade it is worth it cause damn it feels better
