Mitch,

it's an 81 targa. From what I remember about from the thread about it's development, there should be no problem, yes?

Btw, thank you for making this part. It's just one of those little things that make an already great car just that much better.

Michael

Hey you guys, I'm all for ingenuity, but for $29.00 and 30 minutes of work you can get a MSD self lubricating Nylon bushing from our host that will give you a life time of rattle free tight steering from our host.

Pleican Part No. - PEL-ML-STR

This bushing fits "P" cars from "74"-"86". FYI: Probably within the next 60 days we'll pull the trigger on a steering bushing for the early cars. It has been undergoing road tests for the last 90 days by 3 of our members...

Mitch's estimate of 30 minutes to do this is a worst case estimate. I did this repair in 15 minutes in the previous owner's driveway. I guess it would have taken longer if I hadn't opened the bag at home. That, and if I hadn't already gotten the piece of 1-1/2" PVC to help drive it home.

I realize copper tubing is inexpensive, but if your time has value, then 29 bucks has to be at least break even.

Ken
