Hey guys, I was at swap today and there was a guy selling 2 sets of 944 calipers. He had them in crates on the floor. If you know whom I speaking of, could you give me a way of contacting him. I was going to get his number and got halfway back to GR and remembered I didn't get it from him. Thanks, your helped will be appreciated.

I've sent an email to the guy whose space was next to your guy. I remember seeing black 4 piston calipers and I believe they were right next to the PCA club goodie store.
Sure was cold today!!!!!

Yeah, cold and windy. I think it was 2 down from the store. But yeah he had the crates of calipers. I wasn't sure if I could get them to work on my car, but I think I can now. Would like to talk to him again. Thats red carrera in the parking lot was absolutley beautiful, how did he not win the show and shine!!!

Who won? I left around 1pm.
The 904 is really cool and the guy drives it ALOT. I don't recall his name, though. Chemman(Mike) and I took the long way home around the Waterford area.

That was a real 904 with a long race history. My friend Bruce and I talked to him for 10 minutes, he showed us some of the car's history. It was once a mule at LeMans to get the gearing right for the others cars, but did not race that race.
The air intake was a little rough on the outside lip, and very rough inside the porting. Were all original cars like this, or was this repaired after a race? Pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think he said that it has the original 4 cyl in it now, but he has a period correct 6 cyl he might be putting in it. He was very warm in this car, it does not need heat exchangers - no engine insulation means he cooks. The windshield surround rubber shows this cars real age. I think that perhaps the headlamp covers have been replaced/restored - the car is clean and awesome.

One of my favorites was this blue long hood.

I left my car in the garage, but a pretty good showing for so early in the driving season.

meet
The 904 was there a short time and may not have been in the lot when the judging was done. The judge(s) tried to perform their task when they felt the maximum amount of cars were in the lot.
My 911 has been out a lot already. Filled her up for the 3rd time on the way home. Nice pictures Last edited by GLASEM; 04-17-2010 at 03:41 PM.. |

The gold colored widebody was cool and sounded like it had some pretty good compression.

Thanks for the help. I drove from the west side of the state today. It can be a pretty good event if the region keeps working on making it bigger. I wish we had one on this side of the state.

The white slant nose won the show and shine. It was a nice car, but after having slant fenders on my car for 4yrs, now converting it back to bug eyes, I'm about all slanted out, lol. Being that, that the 904 was the real deal, he probably should have had it hands down...
