As long as I'm asking dim questions
How do I install a floorboard (Driver's side)?
I've got one now and haven't had one before. (It's very nice: Thank you, Glen) |

I'll assume your board is similar to my '76.
Orientation: top has straight edge with two ~.5cm notches to form a "tab." Bottom has a semi-circular hole. Also, board has large holes more or less in middle for clutch/brake pedals/link. Board has a overal concave shape -- concave-up is correct for installation. On vertical wall behind pedal, at top, find a cuff of metal with the opening facing downward. On the floor in front of pedals, about where your heels go is a ~2 long cm stud facing up. Installation: remove link from accel pedal -- it's a round ball that pops into a suction cup like blob on the back of pedal. Work board over pedal and insert tab into cuff on vertical wall. Lower back end of board down until the semicircular cut out fits over the floor stud. A metal piece with depressed center goes into the cut out an onto the stud -- add nut/lock washer and tighten down. Stick accel linkage back into accel pedal. Done. Add mats etc. as required. |
