The "contact switches" on the heater levers between the seats don't turn my heater blower on in the engine compartment. I've checked the blower by directly wiring to battery and the blower seems fine.
I've pulled back the carpeting and have exposed the "switches" and the levers, but now I'm lost. Any help here? I've got a '76 911. Just converted to 3.0. Many thanks. |

A Lot of us may have had this problem. What you7 did not say is if you had cleaned the contacts and put metal (Like a screw Driver) to verify if you have current?
Usually they have to be rebent a little so when you lift the lever the fan will come on. What I did was bend the left side so it does not work and the right side so it does. Reason is, sometimes you want the heat on without the "Electrical" fan on (Like on the Highway) and other times need it on (Like Slow driving in the City on a Cold Day)

Vince,
I checked the contacts for voltage...none. Now what? As a side note, how would you clean the contacts...tight space. Many thanks for responding. Dan |
