Hey everyone,
Probably a daft question but does anyone have a straight forward way of adjusting the rear ride height on a 911? I've got a '74 that's way too low (read undrivable basically!) and I need to increase the height but don't have a clue where to start... any help would be hugely appreciated!! |

Unless a PO installed adjustable spring plates, you will have to reindex the spring plates on the torsion bars. Essentially, that involves removing the rear trailing arm from the spring plate, removing the spring plate from the torsion bar, and reinstalling the spring plate after calculating the number of splines that should be adjusted.
I won't take the space to explain because there are lots of threads on the subject that you can view and take your time reading. If you are a fairly competent DIY'er, have the tools and garage space, you can do the job yourself as have many here. Use the "search" button at the right hand top of the Technical home page to see if you want to dig into this.
